Participants will deepen their understanding of how stress can impact individuals both positively and negatively, explore the ACE survey and its connection to long-term health outcomes, and gain insight into how trauma may manifest in school settings and affect student learning.

Trauma-Responsive Classroom

Participants will build confidence in supporting students experiencing dysregulation, understand the critical role of relationships and co-regulation in promoting well-being and academic success, and gain practical strategies—including daily routines like the Re-Set process—to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Trauma-Responsive Schools

Participants will deepen their understanding of how stress and trauma affect educational settings, examine key paradigm shifts needed to create trauma-responsive environments, and explore actionable steps to foster healing and resilience at both individual and systemic levels.

De-Escalation: 

The Power of Relationships

Participants will recognize the importance of felt-safety in effective de-escalation, explore the principles of NEAR Science and its impact on both educators and students, increase awareness of the need for self-regulation to support student regulation, and gain targeted strategies to address the diverse needs of learners.

Impacts of Trauma on the Brain

Participants will expand their understanding of stress and trauma, gain foundational knowledge of brain and autonomic nervous system structures and their influence on learning and relationships, analyze how developmental trauma and nervous system dysregulation shape worldview, and reflect on their broader impacts on student learning and well-being.

Executive Function

Participants will develop a clear understanding of executive functions and how challenges in this area present, examine the impact of executive function difficulties on educational outcomes, and acquire targeted strategies to support both individual students and entire classrooms.

Administrators and leadership teams will engage in a comprehensive review of their current systems to identify both strengths and areas for growth, collaboratively establish a shared vision for their school community, conduct data-driven analyses of academic performance, attendance patterns, and behavioral trends, and develop a strategic, outcomes-oriented framework to guide the implementation of intentional, evidence-based practices that elevate student success and organizational effectiveness.

Participants will understand their role in implementing evidence-informed best practices for suicide prevention in schools, recognize warning signs and reflect on personal biases, learn how to respond effectively to support student safety, and increase their awareness of the procedures and supports that follow a report.
